This is an evening concert by Newstead Brass and Ruddington Community Choir at 7pm in St Peter’s Church on Saturday 22nd June. It’s the festive final day of Ruddington Christmas Market on Saturday 2nd December from 11am to 5pm at various indoor, outdoor and marquee venues in the village. Ho, ho, ho! Running for three days (30th Nov-2nd Dec) is Ruddington Christmas Market between 4pm and 9pm on Thursday and Friday, then on Saturday from 11am to 5pm around the village centre. Fancy Singing In Our Choir?

For over ten years now members of Ruddington Community Choir have been entertaining audiences – and themselves – with weekly rehearsals leading to regular concerts both in our village and further afield. Not only that, they’ve organised popular events in Ruddington such as ‘The Big Sing’ – which attracts choirs from around the country to attend specialist workshops and performances at venues around the village. This is a charity concert by Ruddington Community Choir in aid of Bloomin’ Dementia. It is held in the Ruddington Methodist Church at 2:30pm on Saturday 22nd July. At the event you can also talk to a charity representative about their work. Ruddington was alive with the sound of music yesterday – as around 170 voices demonstrated the joy of singing at various venues around our village. Organised by Ruddington Community Choir, ‘The Big Sing’ was back – after a five year absence due to COVID-19 and other factors – and it seems participants from near and far quickly and eagerly picked up from where it had left off.
