Robin Hood Marathon Bus Changes

Ruddington’s bus passengers are being warned of changes to their services during this weekend’s Robin Hood Marathon. Sunday’s Full and Half Marathons (24th September) will affect numerous routes including Nottingham City Transport’s (NCT’s) Navy 3 and Green 10/10C on their way to and from the city. This year, London Road will be closed in both directions at the start of the marathon and buses will not be able to serve Trent Bridge between 09:20 and 10:20 and are diverting via Lady Bay Bridge. Mustard Seed Summer Fundraisers

Several ‘Mustard Seed’ supporters are busy getting physical this summer to raise money to send a shipping container full of school equipment and other items to Teso, Uganda. ‘The Mustard Seed Project’ is a Ruddington fundraising group set up by James Peacock Infants School teachers Sally Squires and Jayne Henson – inspired by a visit to Uganda in the Summer of last year. Their aims are to raise funds to provide clean water, food and an education for children in the African country by bringing the local community together in fundraising for, and establishing links with, the…
