Motorists are being warned that unscheduled roadworks which have appeared on Wilford Road in Ruddington could be with us for a week! Drivers are facing queues in both directions after a gas leak meant Cadent were called in to carry out essential repairs to the main on Dutton’s Hill. Motorists and bus passengers can expect delays to their journeys through Ruddington from today through until the end of next week. It’s because two sets of roadworks are taking place – beginning with Cadent laying a new gas main on Clifton Road from January 29th to February 4th. Motorists who enjoy shaving a little off their journey time by taking the estate route between Wilford Road and Loughborough Road in Ruddington may be disappointed this week. Gas work by Cadent on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council means that St John’s Road will be closed to traffic from this Monday (23rd April) for up to five days.
