Whilst you may have seen the frontage to this historic village property many times, as you’ve passed Easthorpe Street, you might be unaware of all that lies behind – including its substantial buildings and impressive gardens. Orchard House is owned and operated by by MyCare – which also runs Balmore Country House and St Peter’s Care Home in Ruddington. This historic residential care home, tucked away on sleepy Vicarage Lane, is one of no less than three properties in Ruddington run by owners My Care. St Peter’s Care Home is actually the former vicarage, after which the lane was named. Originally, though, the road was called ‘Red Lion Street’ because of the public house along there.
