It’s almost six months since we brought you the disappointing news that the ‘Ruddington Big Sing’ would not be returning for 2022 after all – having been cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Puppetry at St Peter’s

Whilst the hot, dry summer of 2022 meant that many local farmers harvested their crops some time ago – earlier than ever this year – the annual ‘harvest celebration’ in Ruddington will be taking place this weekend. ‘Ruddington Open Gardens’ 2024 Weekend

The biennial charity event returns! Ruddington Open Gardens 2024 is on Saturday and Sunday 1st and 2nd June from 2pm until 6pm – so make sure you’ve got your ticket. You can visit around a dozen gardens, as well as allotments and other green spaces, around the village. Rushcliffe VIRTUAL 10K & Running Festival

A popular, Ruddington running event which attracts hundreds of participants each year is still taking place – but has gone online! So, rather than the usual crowds packed into Rushcliffe Country Park today, like many other things at the moment it will instead be a ‘remote’ experience. Ruddington Running Event Called Off

Promoters have announced the postponement of this weekend’s Rushcliffe 10K & Running Festival – which was due to take place in Rushcliffe Country Park on Sunday (1st March 2020). It’s been cancelled due to safely fears following severe flooding of parts of the course over the last fortnight after the almost unprecedented spell of rain. More Big Sing Success!

Our village came alive today – with the sound of singing seemingly to be heard from every direction. It was nothing to do with The Eurovision Song Contest, but rather the 2018 Ruddington “Big Sing” – which organisers have hailed a great success!
