Christmas Drink-Drive Warning

Even though the current Tier 3 COVID-19 restrictions mean pubs in Ruddington and beyond remain closed, other than for takeaways, Rushcliffe Police warn they’re very much still on the lookout for motorists driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Closed by Coronavirus!

A popular Ruddington pub has shut temporarily after a member of its staff tested positive for COVID-19 this morning (Sunday 11th October). A statement has been issued by The Victoria Tavern, on Wilford Road, which says: “We have, therefore, decided to close today in order to take an opportunity to deep clean all areas. The staff member has not been at work since Friday. Only one member of staff is affected and, at this point, there is nothing to indicate they picked up the virus here. Plans drawn up by Via East Midlands to implement a temporary one-way system in Ruddington village centre, with the aim of improving traffic flow and providing extra parking, have been rejected by Nottinghamshire County Council (NCC). Village Centre One-Way System Proposed

A short consultation has been launched by Nottinghamshire County Council to find out the views of residents and traders on introducing a temporary one-way system to the centre of Ruddington. A letter has just been sent out by Via East Midlands (VIAEM) on behalf of the Council to all those who would be directly impacted by the proposed changes.
