A Ruddington charity which was set up four years’ ago to give a better quality of life to dementia sufferers and their families has been the first to officially receive its cash from the 2020-2021 round of the Co-op Local Community Fund. New Round of Co-op Community Funding
It’s been announced that the next round of the Co-op Local Community Fund is opening next week – on Tuesday May 4th. This will be the seventh time local clubs, charities and organisations have been invited to apply for funding raised by Co-operative members. Every time a card holder shops in store, or buys a Co-op product such as insurance, cash is raised for local projects here in Ruddington and in Clifton; which members can select, if they have a preference. Whilst Ruddington’s Framework Knitters’ Museum remains closed for the usual January break it’s worth remembering that you can still support them just by shopping at the Co-op! Our nationally acclaimed museum was chosen for Co-op Local Community Funding last year. This has already raised over £650 which will go towards their Key Stage One educational programme for school children. That funding has now been extended until April 30th 2017, so there’s still plenty of time to raise money by purchasing Co-op own-brand products and services.
