Football Club’s Community Heart Tests

Organisers of a heart screening event in Ruddington at the weekend say they were delighted by the turnout. Hosted by Ruddington Village Football Club in the ‘Jubilee Clubhouse’ at Elms Park, a hundred young people aged from 14 to 35 went along to be tested by a specialist team from the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY). They completed a medical history questionnaire and echocardiograms (ECGs) were carried out. As our village population continues to grow, so does the need for potentially life-saving yellow and green boxes in close proximity which are available to our community 24 hours a day. In the past few years, as well as inside various Ruddington premises and on standby for public events, several publicly accessible automated external defibrillators (AEDs) have been installed at locations around our village. Ruddington Defibrillator Update

In the past few years, as well as inside various village premises and on standby for public events, Ruddington has seen the installation of several, potentially life-saving yellow and green boxes which are available to our community 24 hours a day.
