Annual Summer Fayre this Saturday

Ruddington’s second “Summer Fayre” is being held on The Green this Saturday, the 19th of August, and promises to be even bigger and better than last year.

After the success of the inaugural event in 2016 it’s again been organised for the village by Ruddington Parish Council – and will take place between midday and 6pm.

Cox’s Funfair will be there, you can have your photo taken in the stocks with Ruddington Scouts, experience the ‘Under our Wing’ talking and singing birds, play with Zoe’s Party Animals, enjoy the food and trade stalls, a licensed bar and much, much more!

Here’s a poster with the event’s planned running order:-

The official launch of the final Ruddington Village Plan document is happening on The Green at 1.30pm – with an introduction and RVP cake cutting by Parish Council Chairman Allen Wood. RVP volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and invite villagers and local traders to get involved with special projects like the proposed pétanque area. At 5.30pm the judging of their “My Favourite Thing About Ruddington” art competition will take place. You can get yourself or your youngster involved from midday!

You’ll be able to talk to members of  ‘The Green Space’ project group – who are aiming to reopen the former Youth and Community centre on The Green as a ‘community hub’. They’re looking for your ideas and involvment to bring this village facility back to life.

There’ll also be a collection point for the NG11 Foodbank if you wish to donate groceries or produce.

Ruddington’s Navy 3 or Green 10 buses run by Nottingham City Transport can be caught directly to The Green.

Please do support this great, village event organised by our Parish Council!
