Rescheduled 2018 Rushcliffe Run

If you’re a keen runner but thought you’d missed out on taking part in this year’s Rushcliffe 10k & Fun Run there’s good news – you haven’t! Last Sunday’s event was postponed for safety reasons due to the heavy snow and icy conditions – and has been rescheduled for Sunday 25th March.

One positive consequence is that a limited number of new spaces have become available for the previously sold out 10k Run – whilst room remains for participants in the 5k Run and 2.5k child friendly Fun Run, too!

Organisers Perfect Motion Sports Marketing are hoping for some better weather for the new date in Ruddington’s Country Park which supports Cerebral Palsy Sport – the official race charity.

Rushcliffe Borough Council’s Cabinet Portfolio Holder for Community and Leisure and Deputy Leader Cllr Debbie Mason said: “We can’t wait for hundreds of runners to visit Rushcliffe Country Park again in March with a wider programme of events. Great sport is part and parcel of Rushcliffe’s reputation and this event showcases it brilliantly in the backdrop of one of our great Green Flag awarded open spaces.”

It’s likely the 10k will soon be fully booked again with its allotted 850 runners – so you’re encouraged to act quickly.

You can visit the event’s website at www.rushcliffe10k.co.uk to secure your place.
