Ruddington foodies have long been fortunate enough to be able to select from a diverse range of different cuisines thanks to our numerous pubs, restaurants, cafés and takeaways. NOW our choice has been enhanced even further by a new culinary concept launched at Bar Six – which sees their chefs and menus CHANGE every four weeks!
The ‘Kitchen Takeovers’ started at the Dutton’s Hill venue on the 3rd of October. A different street food or cuisine is now on offer each month from local, independent traders.
Lucy Would, who runs the Ruddington business in partnership with John Noble, promises the chefs and servers booked for this ground-breaking dining initiative are of a very high calibre: “All well established, having had presence at various festivals and events including the increasingly popular Nottingham Street Food Club in the Victoria Centre, Splendour Festival and heaps more! We hope that the concept will bring something new and fun to Ruddington – even giving residents and visitors an opportunity to try new foods they may not normally opt for” explains Lucy. The kitchen takeovers are replacing their previous evening Tapas menu for now.
Until 28th October it’s Brazilian Churrasco courtesy of Franco’s. This offers classic Brazilian mains cooked the authentic way over charcoal plus a range of traditional starters, sides and dessert (see menus below).
The November takeover will be The Dog House with gourmet hotdogs and the December takeover is the Pop up Chicken Shop who specialise in buttermilk fried chicken in a variety of ways and flavours.
