Construction machinery was left without power and speed safety signs went dark after thieves struck again in our area at the weekend.
Rushcliffe Police are still on the lookout for the voltage-loving villains who stole several batteries from equipment being used in the works on Flawforth Lane in Ruddington overnight on Sunday 22nd October. Further afield, power packs were found to be missing from the interactive mobile speed warning signs on Leake Road at Gotham and on Park Lane in Sutton Bonington.
It is not yet known whether it was the same power-mad crooks who helped themselves to cabling which disappeared over the weekend from the quarry site on Rempstone Road at East Leake – but it’s thought the crimes may be linked.
Did YOU see anything suspicious – or have you been offered any batteries or cabling? If so, you’re asked to call Nottinghamshire Police as soon as possible on 101.
