Ruddington Teenager Heads to Nicaragua

An 18 year old Ruddington resident has made it through a rigorous selection process to become part of a Raleigh International team heading to Nicaragua next month helping local communities get clean water and sanitation. Anousheh Fulford will be living with a host family in a remote village for three months – sharing in the life of the community – with the aim of improving his understanding of a different culture and their understanding of ours. Ruddington Bus Operator Breaks Records

Ruddington’s main bus operator had a day to remember at this year’s UK Bus Awards ceremony as it took home the awards for both Top City Operator and UK Bus Operator of the Year. Securing ‘UK Bus Operator 2016’ means that Nottingham City Transport has set a new record, being the very first to win the accolade four times following successes in 2004, 2012 and 2014.
