U3A Monthly Meeting and Speaker

Monday’s monthly meeting is run by our local U3A – University of the Third Age. It’s for “retired and semi-retired people to make new friends, keep active and learn together. Classic Car and Bike Meeting

On the first Sunday of each month you’re invited to this regular Ruddington event for heritage vehicle lovers. (Photo above by Jim Goodinson.) You can look at dozens of visiting classic cars and bikes as well as explore all the other attractions at Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre (NTHC). Ruddington Solar Farm Application

Following a public consultation in our village in March 2022, Ridge Clean Energy (RCE) has now submitted a full planning application for its proposed ‘hybrid renewable energy project’ on agricultural land south west of Ruddington. Called ‘Fair Oaks Renewable Energy Park’ the power generation scheme would be located at Fields Farm off Asher Lane and pair 49.9MW of solar panels with 49.9MW of battery storage capacity.
