Two men have been put in prison for a combined 12 years and four months following a string of house burglaries across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire. One of these was a break-in at a house in Musters Road here in Ruddington on March 12th this year. Ashley Simpson, 32, of no fixed address, pleaded guilty to 18 counts of burglary. Timothy Wilson, 34, formerly of Woodfield Road in Nottingham, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of burglary, two counts of attempted burglary and two counts of theft. Simpson was locked up for seven years…

Police have renewed their appeal to Ruddington residents to be vigilant after a new spate of thefts from vehicles over the weekend. Three vehicles parked at properties on Kirk Lane were targeted between 9pm on Friday (December 8th) and 8am yesterday. Some of the stolen items were subsequently found dumped nearby.
