RuddFest 2017 Around the Corner

Real ale lovers can rejoice! Ruddington’s 15th Summer Beer Festival will be upon us during the first four days of June – and it will be the 4th time the popular “RuddFest” event has been centred on our historic village green.

For the main beer marquee, on The Green, we’re being promised over 80 cask ales this year, along with around 30 ciders and 20 gins. There’ll also be wines and Prosecco – and even LAGER on draught for those people who don’t like proper beer.

Organiser John Noble told RUDDINGTON.info “The DJ will be returning for one night playing some background 80’s to modem music, and also a ‘live’ acoustic singer covering modern classics with a “jazzy twist”. For the kids there’ll be a bouncy castle and various children’s entertainment.

Jasper’s Café will be on The Green offering a selection of their home made cakes and goodies – along with Bar Six and their Ruddfest Burgers on the BBQ – and The Three Spices with their selection of Indian currys and snacks.”

Additional real ales and entertainment will also be laid on at the participating village pubs – The Three Crowns, White Horse, Victoria Tavern and The Frame Breakers.  So, in all, there should be well well over 200 beers and ciders around Ruddington between Thursday the 1st and Sunday the 4th of June this year!

The Live Music Stage in The White Horse Beer Garden

The White Horse is also launching a new “Ruddington’s Got Talent” competition for the Sunday afternoon and inviting online submissions of auditions NOW. You can read about it >>HERE<<.

Organisers are also encouraging responsible drinking. Ruddington’s Navy 3 or Green 10 buses run by Nottingham City Transport can be caught directly to The Green or to any of our village pubs. To encourage visitors to leave their cars at home, this year the operator has created a special downloadable “RuddFest” discount travel voucher (click on image below). All you need to do is either print it off, or show it to the driver on the screen of a mobile device, when you board the first NCT bus and ask for an “Eventrider”. It will then cost you just £2.50 rather than £3.70 for an all day ticket.

All this is to make sure you can safely, legally and more cheaply enjoy a #RuddyGoodDayOut!

As we get more information we’ll Tweet about it and add it here on RUDDINGTON.info for you. And you can also find the official “RuddFest” website >>HERE<<.
