Although none of these 20 offences during April constitutes a major incident, crime does often have a lasting effect on its victims and on our general sense of security and wellbeing in what is still a relatively safe village. So we’re urged to keep our eyes open in order to help the police track down the perpetrators – often repeat offenders responsible for multiple crimes – as well as taking sensible measures ourselves to avoid making life easy for the criminals.
