Our village is set to feature on national television yet again today – this time courtesy of a Ruddington duo’s appearance on the BBC quiz show “Pointless”!
Father and daughter David and Megan McFarlane (pictured above) will appear on this afternoon’s episode of the popular programme presented by Alexander Armstrong and Richard Osman which airs at 5.15pm on BBC1.
It’s been rather a long wait for Megan – who’s a big fan of the show – since she put dad and herself forward for an audition at the Nottingham Jury’s Inn back on the 2nd of February LAST year! They managed to achieve the second lowest score (low scoring is the idea in this quiz!). The duo also impressed the producers with their fun personalities and so, to their delight, ended up being selected to appear. Filming for the current series was actually done at Elstree Studios last summer. Nearly a year later we’ll finally get to see it on TV!
David’s wife (and Megan’s mum) Christine McFarlane told RUDDINGTON.info: “I’m so proud of them being on Pointless – but I’m not allowed to say how they did. You’ll have to watch!”
