Ruddington’s new web site, run by village resident Graham Wright (pictured above left with NCT’s Anthony Carver-Smith), was heralded in style today thanks to a preview event kindly promoted by the Ruddington Business Partnership, hosted by The Ruddington Arms, and sponsored by our launch partners Nottingham City Transport (NCT).
Dozens of business networkers came along early this morning to find an NCT bus awaiting them in the pub car park – and details of “NCT’s Ruddy Good Day Out” campaign aimed at promoting our village to potential visitors. This is by way of ongoing features here on RUDDINGTON.info alongside a brand new pocket-sized leaflet with map which allows people to plan their journey and ports of call.
Last year Nottingham City Transport re-routed its Navy 3 bus to serve the northwest of Ruddington after Trent Barton axed its Ruddington Connection. NCT also extended the Green 10 bus to the southeast of our village. It is hoped this new initiative will help to boost the use of both these frequent seven day services to benefit everyone in and around Ruddington.
NCT’s Marketing Manager Anthony Carver-Smith brought along a Navy 3 bus to the meeting to help promote this tourism drive. He and RUDDINGTON.info CEO Graham Wright then chatted informally over coffee to those attending – showing them the draft leaflet and launch website.
Both were grateful to Shamshad Walker of Ruddington Business Partnership and Mark & Sarah Anderson of The Ruddington Arms for their warm hospitality.
