New Local Group For Solo Travellers

There are many times, whether through choice or circumstances, that we might find ourselves travelling solo writes Ruddington based Travel Counsellor Leia Morales.

Prior to meeting my husband and having a family, I travelled around the world on my own. Along the way I joined various small groups to travel around with like minded people. Whatever your age or circumstances the new Facebook group ‘Notts Solo Travellers’ is the perfect place to meet other solo travellers.

The first in person meeting of this group will be at ‘The Bottle Top’ in Ruddington at 6pm on Wednesday 1st March. This will be a chance for local solo travellers to network and discuss future travel plans. Look out for further meeting dates in the future.

First thing on the agenda is an organised trip for ‘Notts Solo Travellers’ to experience Iceland in October. Join me on a Travel Counsellors led trip to this fascinating country. Departing on the 2nd of October from Birmingham we will have the opportunity to see the ‘Northern Lights’, relax in the geothermal waters of the Blue Lagoon, feel the mist of waterfalls and the explosions of active geysers, all within this 3-night trip.

All participants on the trip will have their own room. The trip is open to anyone who finds themselves travelling solo but would like the support of travelling with a small group.

If you are unable to attend the meeting (or the meeting date has passed by the time you read this) please email leia.morales@travelcounsellors.com to arrange a personal conversation about the Iceland trip – or stop by to see me at the village market on the first Saturday of the month.

If you are interested in meeting other solo travellers, but not interested in Iceland, feel free to come along to the meeting or join the Facebook group >>HERE<< for details of future solo adventures.
