That’s the title of the latest Facebook update from Ryan Charlesworth at Ruddington’s Project Body UK.
This follows a previous announcement on Saturday that our local health, fitness and youth centre had closed its doors for the final time last Thursday. <ORIGINAL STORY HERE>
But a flood of suggestions and offers of support from within the village and elsewhere seem to have precipitated a rapid change of heart – with Ryan now saying The Body Centre might now reopen by next month.
He writes: “Over the past 4 days we have been working very hard to find a solution to what seemed like an impossible task
However the village spirit in Ruddington never fails to amaze me and I am overwhelmed by all the responses we have received.
Some of those who have responded have gone even further and offered to help us save the club from its impending ending and these discussions are now ongoing.
All being well the hope would be to re-open the club ready for January, if not before.
The key to our clubs future success if we were to get it going again would be the support of our community. People who need to stay local and support local businesses. Not only Project Body but Schools Out for your afterschool care and holiday clubs, the personal trainers, the party booking availability and of course the reason we saved the building in the first place, The Youth club.
In order to ensure we deliver what you want as a community we are asking for your feedback. What facilities and services would you like to see, would you like to rent space for your event, party or business, what classes would you attend and what times would you like to see us open.
