A member of a Leicestershire running group – who will be back in Ruddington this Sunday (23rd April) – has taken to social media to warn residents of their next visit!
This follows the alarm that was caused back in January when piles of mysterious white powder appeared around our village centre. Speculation was rife as to who might be responsible and why it was there – and even whether the unidentified substance might ave been be harmful to our pets and wildlife. You can read the full story >>HERE<<.
Earlier today Cadi Lambert posted this message on Ruddington’s Facebook page:
“Good morning. I wanted to let everyone know about a running group who will be in Ruddington this Sunday. We have visited your village before and I am aware we caused some confusion with our flour trail. This time, we wanted to let villagers know we are coming to allay any concerns.
“I am a member of the Quorn Hash House Harriers. We run in Notts and Leics. We follow a trail of dots of flour and always finish back in a pub for a drink. The flour, of course, is harmless and washes away. We love to run around Ruddington, due to the great surrounding countryside and good pubs. This Sunday we will be running from the Frame Breakers at 11 am on. We are a friendly group and if there are any local runners who would like to join us they would be more than welcome.”
We’re told that the “Hares” putting out the white powder for this Sunday’s return visit to Ruddington will be Too Tuf and Chicki! You can read MORE about “Hash Running with the Hash House Harriers” >>HERE<<.
We wish them a safe and fun visit to our village – and thank them for the advance warning this time!
