Are you creative with paint, fabric or wool?
Over the NEXT Bank Holiday weekend, Ruddington’s Framework Knitters’ Museum is hosting a three day Summer Exhibition and Sale of Artwork and Textiles, and they’d love to hear from you. The event will run from Saturday 26th to Monday May 28th.
Their stipulation is that all your works must be for sale with any commission going towards museum funds. Organiser Helen Brownett explains: “It is open to everyone, so if anyone is a bit nervous about showing their artwork for the first time please DON’T be! We would love to have their work on display.”
Helen says they’re also looking for any knitters who could help them out with their Knitted Garden – which will be launched during the Ruddington Open Gardens weekend in June. “We would like knitted flowers, bugs, hedgehogs any garden flowers or creatures to place in the museum’s garden over the summer. They can pop into the museum with them during opening hours and hand them over to me – or email me at helen.brownett@frameworkknittersmuseum.org.uk.“
It’s the same contact details if you’d like to exhibit your artwork or textiles – AND you can also ‘phone the museum on 0115 984 6914.
