There’s an exciting new development for Ruddington village centre’s retail offer this month – the opening of a brand new farm shop on Church Street!
Following positive feedback at their monthly market, from the second week in February The White Horse Inn is teaming up with some top local producers to bring us “a farm shop in a pub” – featuring a variety of stalls outside and in – which will be open every Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 3pm.
White Horse owner Andy Hunt says: “We can’t wait to open something that the village is screaming out for; fresh fruit and vegetables with zero plastic! We felt that we wanted to reopen the pub on a Wednesday and Thursday lunch but wished to change our offer. Working with Parsnip & Pears and Musgrove & Co from the market has given us a great product range.”
Things you can expect to see on sale at the pub’s new farm shop include:
- Waste Free Fruit & Veg
- Plants
- Gardening items
- Chutneys
- Local Cheeses
- Deli Meats
- Local yoghurts
- Preserves
- Crackers
- Wines
- Beers
- Chocolates
- Local Spirits
- Bakery Goods
- Homemade Cakes
Breakfast will also be on offer at The White Horse from 10am – with pastries, coffee and cakes – merging into their Lunch Menu from 12noon.
“We are really looking forward to it, and can’t wait for the launch day on the 8th of February – when the shop will be in place all day and night to give people the opportunity to come and have a nosey” reveals Andy.
He adds: “We’ve already been in talks with Gwen from The Ruddington Pantry and will be happy to pass on any fresh produce we have left on a Saturday.”
