Ruddington is where the award-winning Debbie Bryan independent brand chose to open its second creative space in October 2020 (St. Mary’s Gate gallery in the City was launched in 2009) and staff recall the gallery’s “warm welcome by the village“.
Now Debbie Bryan hopes to extend the shop’s opening times and services at 15, High Street – as can be seen from this official application to Rushcliffe Borough Council.
Debbie says “a steep history and love of Ruddington felt like a perfect second home” to expand her creative vision. She first showcased her textile collections at the ‘Past Present Future Exhibition’ at the Ruddington Framework Knitters’ Museum over 16 years ago and she became a trustee in 2020.
At the Debbie Bryan Gallery in our village centre you’ll discover it curates a wide range of collections, because she works with over 50 talented designers as well as creations made by the ‘Debbie Bryan Design Studio’. From the gallery you can buy fashion to jewellery, lighting to craft kits alongside glass, ceramics and Art. Also Debbie Bryan says it houses “an impressive Nottingham Lace Heritage Archive, selling selected Nottingham Lace gifts; historic papers, framed fabrics and haberdashery trims.“
Debbie Bryan’s creatives told RUDDINGTON.info they’re looking forward to hosting their “popular Creative Classes, Crafternoons and five-star Afternoon Tea service at their Ruddington address later this year, with classes and events available to book after our soft launch in August.” You can sign up for their newsletter to keep posted about dates for these events and book your place >>HERE<<.
