Enhanced timetables which include earlier and more frequent buses for Ruddington start TODAY (Sunday 29th January).
Most of the improvements are to our Navy 3 service which runs through to Clifton seven days a week via a revised route. The Navy 3 now starts from Hartness Road in Clifton, serving the Crusader roundabout, Green Lane, Southchurch Drive (for Cornerstone and the shops), Farnborough Road (passing Farnborough Academy and Central College), Ruddington Village (Green and Church), Wilford Lane Industrial Estate and then along Wilford Lane and over Trent Bridge (for County Hall, Cricket and Football Grounds) into Nottingham. In Nottingham City Centre, buses have a central stop on the Old Market Square and also serve the Railway Station and Broadmarsh.
It’s part of a raft of revisions to the Clifton bus network following an in-depth study of the impact of the new tram line. According to NCT, in some areas it has reduced bus use by over 30%. This has resulted in Clifton’s Navy 2 service being withdrawn.
But the changes are positive news for Ruddington bus passengers – who’ll actually benefit from a better service. The Navy 3’s revised timetable sees Monday to Saturday daytime buses increased to run up to every 20 minutes. Morning services will begin around an hour earlier on weekdays and two hours earlier on Saturdays. In the evenings, buses will now run every 30 minutes until around 8pm and all Sunday buses are extended from Ruddington through to Clifton – covering key stretches of the old Navy 2 route.

Full information about all the Clifton bus changes is online at www.nctx.co.uk/cliftonchanges with a printed “Clifton Bus Network” guide also available.
ADDITIONALLY Monday 30th January sees a revised weekday afternoon peak timetable introduced on our GREEN 10, 10C, 10X services “to improve reliability”. On Monday to Saturday evenings, an extra bus will run from City at 21:35 and from Ruddington at 22:07 (passing ASDA at 22:19). You can read/download that new timetable >>HERE<<.
The changes will make it even easier for locals and visitors alike to enjoy a #RuddyGoodDayOut in the future!
