If so, you needn’t be!
Ruddington Baptist Church is hosting a Christmas Day dinner for people who would otherwise be alone on December the 25th.
Residents of all ages are welcome – whether your family has flown the nest, they’re too far away, or it’s just “complicated”. You’re invited to join them and other village folk for a warm and friendly get together on Christmas Day.
Doors will open at 1:00pm for welcome drinks and nibbles – with lunch being served at around 2.00pm. That’ll be followed at about 3:30pm by a Christmas film or games. They emphasise that pre-booking is essential, please.
They may be able to help with transport, if necessary, which you’re asked to discuss with them when booking. There’s a suggested voluntary donation of £5 for the meal.
Places at The Hub on Musters Road will be limited so – if you would like to be part of the Baptists’ festive celebrations, or you know of anyone who might like to join join them – please get in touch as soon as possible. Contact is by emailing secretary@ruddingtonbaptist.org.uk or ‘phoning Kirsty on 0115 9846099 – between 5pm and 10pm only please.
Kirsty says: “Please spread the word and help us reach the people of Ruddington who don’t want to be on their own this Christmas.”
You’re also invited along to their two services in St Peter’s Rooms:
Sunday 24th December: 10:30am – Nativity Story Service
Monday 25th December: 10.00am – Christmas Day Service
