A Ruddington nine year-old has just lost her much-loved long locks – so she can donate her hair to a children’s charity.
Kind hearted Alice Rogers, who attends St Peter’s School, has gone even further – using her father Wayne’s JustGiving page to also raise money for The Little Princess Trust. This is a charity which provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young adults who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment and other illnesses.
Alice explains: “We were watching a TV programme about Bradley Lowery – when daddy told me what Chemotherapy is and said that people lose their hair. That’s when I decided I wanted to help.” Football fan Bradley was just six years’ old when he lost his long and public battle with Neuroblastoma last year. Alice did some research and then decided to make a personal sacrifice to help the kids’ charity. She adds: “Children should feel beautiful with or without hair.”
As well as giving her own hair, Alice has pledged to fundraise £430 for The Little Princess Trust. If you’d like to help Alice meet her target you can donate online >>HERE<<.
