Ruddington’s motorists are being advised to expect travel disruption this January when tree maintenance work takes place in our village.
Via East Midlands is warning that it will be felling dead trees and cutting back overgrown vegetation along the A60 Loughborough Road in Ruddington every weekday from the 14th to the 25th of January 2019 on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council. Temporary two-way traffic signals will be in use to enable contractors to do this safely.
The good news is that the work will be carried out off-peak, between 9.00am and 3.30pm only. However, this still has the potential to cause delays to traffic, including NCT’s morning Green 10X and Green 10C services to and from Ruddington Fields Business Park.
There’s also advance warning that resurfacing work will take place in Ruddington’s village centre on Monday & Tuesday 25th & 26th February 2019. Multi-way temporary traffic signals will be in use during this period – on High Street and Church Street – with significant traffic delays inevitable.
