New Team at the Top

After the biggest changes at Ruddington Parish Council for many years, those newly appointed to the most senior positions have been talking to RUDDINGTON.info about their hopes and plans for its future direction. Last week’s vote (on May 10th) saw the appointment of both a new Chair and a new Vice-Chair of the Parish Council: Cllr Graham Fletcher and Cllr Chloe Lewington respectively (pictured top). … That’s the number of vacancies on Ruddington Parish Council following ANOTHER resignation this week. This time it’s a Councillor who has only served for seventh months. More Parish Council Vacancies

Ruddington Parish Council is looking for community-minded villagers to fill more of its seats after the resignation of two further councillors. The vacancies have arisen in Easthorpe Ward and Manor Ward following the departures of Marilyn Robinson and George Ellison respectively. No reasons have been given for their decisions to stand down. However it follows a raft of other councillor resignations over the past year – resulting in a contested election for one seat and others where four candidates were elected unopposed.
