Village businesses are being alerted to another spate of attempts to spend counterfeit Scottish £20 notes in Ruddington. The warning’s gone out after “two lads” tried to make purchases today at village centre shops including The Co-Op, Sshokwave Bikes and Philo’s Espresso Bar & Eatery. Fake Note Warning
Ruddington shoppers and traders are being warned to be on the lookout for counterfeit currency ahead of this weekend’s big Christmas Fayre. We were first alerted to the scam by Julia Towers of Julia’s Kitchen who describes two young girls around the village who’ve been attempting to pass fake Scottish £20 notes in local shops.
