This festive pub quiz is taking place at The White Horse Inn on Wednesday 28th December from 7pm to 11pm and is in aid of Ruddington based Bloomin’ Dementia. Come for Christingle!

If you like sweets and festive fun involving all the family, then please come along to help make around 400 Christingles! On 22nd December from 11.30am in The Hermitage Centre (located along St Peter’s Church). Christian tradition is for children to stick sweets on cocktail sticks; then to pop them in an object, usually an orange (representing the globe), wrap a red ribbon (sharing love) around the orange; and then a candle (lighting up the world) goes on top. Festive Wildlife Watch Group for Kids

Children make your own Christmas decorations for your home or tree! This 11am event will still be outdoors for children aged between 8 and 12, but it’ll have a festive theme so wrap up warmly for a couple of hours of fun at Rushcliffe Country Park. The session is run by Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust. Cosy Traditional Christmas and See Santa!

Entrance for this festive day will be FREE at the Framework Knitters’ Museum and Parker’s Yard from 12-noon until 6pm on Saturday 17th December. This year’s ‘Cosy Traditional Christmas’ attractions are roasted chestnuts, Victorian mince pie making, a Christmas choir with a mini orchestra, Father Christmas and festive treats from The Split Screen Coffee Company.
