After last week’s disappointing Ofsted results, and uncertainty about the current situation regarding James Peacock Infant and Nursery School’s longstanding Headteacher, Richard Waldron, it’s been revealed he has now left the school.
Mr Waldron had been away from his post since October 2021 due to ill health – with Hannah Cutts becoming Acting Head in his absence.
Chair of Governors, Charles Raynor, has sent a letter today to update parents on the staffing there – particularly within the school’s “leadership team”. He reveals: “Due to the impact of this (absence) he has now decided to resign from his position as Headteacher at our school. We would like to thank Richard for his leadership at our school since September 2006 and, as a school and governing body, we wish him well.”
Mr Raynor adds: “We will now be starting the recruitment process, supported by the Local Authority, to appoint a permanent Headteacher in the coming weeks.”
Once we hear who will replace Mr Waldron at the Manor Park based school, we’ll let you know here at RUDDINGTON.info.
