Ruddington’s bus passengers are being warned of changes to their services during this weekend’s Robin Hood Marathon.
Sunday’s Full and Half Marathons (24th September) will affect numerous routes including Nottingham City Transport’s (NCT’s) Navy 3 and Green 10/10C on their way to and from the city.
This year, London Road will be closed in both directions at the start of the marathon and buses will not be able to serve Trent Bridge between 09:20 and 10:20 and are diverting via Lady Bay Bridge. People heading to the Marathon will need to ensure they have boarded a bus by 9am to be able to reach the Trent Bridge area.
NCT is again working with NET Trams to run the Navy 3 to and from the Meadows Way West tram stop. Customers will then be able to use their NCT tickets on the tram to make their journey between the Meadows Way West tram stop and the City Centre.
Services are likely to face some delay during the Marathon so passengers should leave plenty of extra time for their journeys.
Navy 3
From start of service until approx. 13:30, buses will run to and from the Meadows Way West tram stop. There will be no service along Wilford Lane and these buses will not serve Trent Bridge, the Railway Station or the City Centre.
