We’re Still on Social Media…

As of 1st August 2024  – after just over eight years providing a daily updated news and events service for our amazing village – this website ceased operating as a business and is no longer publishing any further unique content.

However, for now, RUDDINGTON.info is continuing as a free-to-use community service to share Ruddington related news and event content from other reliable sources as a ‘curated’ feed.  This is by using our dedicated social media channels, which have remained active. Therefore please do keep on keeping us posted/tagged in via our Facebook, X and Instagram pages.

Owner and editor Graham Wright says: “I’d like to emphasise that RUDDINGTON.info actually remained very popular and really well supported throughout, and this decision was due to my semi-retirement, and for no other reason. Ruddington is such a busy and active community it has a been a 365-day-a-year job, to try to keep across everything 24/7, meaning precious little ‘downtime’. However, thankfully, our expanding village has more alternative information sources than ever before, to keep people updated now we’re ‘gone’. I’m now enjoying an easier life!”

Graham would especially like to thank his website launch sponsor Nottingham City Transport which, back in September 2016, kicked things off with the #RuddyGoodDayOut campaign, without whom it’s unlikely RUDDINGTON.info would ever have become a full news website. ALSO thanks to My Care – Care Homes‘ Ruddington Retirement Village who picked up this crucial main website sponsorship after ‘lockdown’ to enable our truly local service to continue.

Graham adds: “I’m also very grateful to the dozens of other Ruddington businesses who advertised with us during those eight years, and to the many contributors from the village who tipped us off with important information, written us news and feature stories themselves, and provided some lovely photographs. Thank you, everyone!”

Most of the pages we published between 2016 and 2024 have been kept online as a general Ruddington information resource and village news archive.  However, all paid-for advertising and promotion have now ceased.  The AdBoxes which remain on this website are from our previous, long term village advertisers who kindly pledged instead to make an ongoing monthly donation to a Ruddington charity in return for staying on our pages.*
