Thursday’s Ruddington Christmas Market
Ho, ho, ho! Running for three days (30th Nov-2nd Dec) is Ruddington Christmas Market between 4pm and 9pm on Thursday and Friday, then on Saturday from 11am to 5pm around the village centre.
There’ll be the ‘Christmas Village on The Green’ during all three days, featuring a large covered stage and Blitzen’s Bar sponsored by Castle Rock Brewery. Other participating venues will be St Peter’s Church, Ruddington Methodist Hall, the Framework Knitters’ Museum, St Peter’s Rooms and, of course, Ruddington’s impressive array of resident village centre retailers and hospitality businesses.
On Thursday 30th November, you can expect Acoustic duo Chai and Ben, Newstead Brass Band and Christmas carols from Ruddington Community Choir will lead the musical feast, hosted by BBC Radio Nottingham’s Sarah Julien and Verity Cowley.
There’s street food galore at the Street Food Feast-Up area, festive shopping in the food and makers’ marquees, and plenty to keep the kids happy with Circus Wunderbar and Arts & Crafts in the Children’s Big Top sponsored by Ridge Clean Energy.
There’s free entry to enjoy a couple of hours of a ‘Traditional Victorian Christmas‘ at FKM, Framework Knitters’ Museum from 5pm – see FKM by candlelight and it also has children’s activities. If you’ve pre-booked tickets for Santa’s Grotto at the FKM, it’s open 5pm – 7pm today. [Note: Santa is sold out! You must have booked in advance to see Father Christmas here].
Supported by William Davis Homes, over the three days this year’s Ruddington Christmas Market will feature a total of over 170 indoor and outdoor stalls of food, drink and gifts, festive bars, street food, live music, children’s entertainment, and more!
The festive event is organised by Ruddington Village Community Partnership (RVCP). The 3-day Xmas Market was announced back in July and will be held at various indoor, outdoor and marquee venues in the village. Volunteers are busy planning and you can read the story about the stalls and attractions >>HERE<<.
