Exploring Faith in Ruddington

Do you ever find yourself asking questions about life and God? If so, our Anglican, Baptist and Methodist churches would like to invite you along to join them, because “… life is worth exploring!”

The 2018 Alpha Course – which begins next month – is now available for booking by everyone and anyone in Ruddington. It aims to introduce people to the basics of the Christian faith whilst allowing you to have questions and doubts. They say stimulating talks and discussions are all part of Alpha, as well as “good food and fellowship”.

With now only 28% of the UK population saying they believe in God or a higher spiritual power (“You Gov” poll, December 2016) it’s a chance given by our local churches to find out more about Christianity, ask questions and share your point of view. Since it began, church statistics reveal 2.8 million Britons have already attended an Alpha Course.

Reverend Sam Hackett, the minister at Ruddington Baptist Church, explains: “Together we explore the foundations of Christianity, like: who is Jesus? Why did He die? Why and how do you pray? It is a free space to ask questions and get to know people who are in a similar position to you with the support of volunteer hosts. One of the highlights of the Alpha course is that you never go away hungry!”

This FREE Alpha Course runs from Thursday 24th May, for ten weeks, at ‘The Hub’ at 62 Musters Road in Ruddington from 7.30pm until 9.30pm – with a hot meal provided there each week.

All our churches ask is that you please register in advance, in order to give them an idea of numbers attending. You can do so by emailing Jane Gray via janeb_gray@btinternet.com or ‘phoning her on 07967 443463.
