Organisers of this month’s ‘Ruddington Open Gardens’ weekend have revealed the event was a great success – securing almost £4,500 for their two chosen charities. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the usually biennial was last held in 2018, but it returned even bigger and better on 2nd & 3rd July 2022. ‘Open Gardens’ Return After Four Year Gap
After all the excitement of Ruddington’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations at the beginning of June, there’s another, big weekend event taking place all over our village at the start of next month. On Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd July, from 2.00pm to 6.00pm on both days, ‘Ruddington Open Gardens’ is back for the first time since 2018. The biennial event is back! Have you got your ticket to visit ‘Ruddington Open Gardens’ weekend yet? Apart from a great experience visiting villagers’ gardens, you’ll be suppporting Save the Children and Action for Children. All proceeds of the Open Gardens weekend will be spilt between these two kids’ charities. This month is the tenth anniversary of Ruddington Community Choir‘s very first workshop. Organisers are celebrating the success of last weekend’s “Ruddington Open Gardens” – after the final tally revealed that £2280 was raised for kids’ charities!
