Thomas James Moves

A Ruddington based business, which is more accustomed to moving others, has itself just relocated – but only to the other side of High Street!

Thomas James has been a growing, independent estate agent, selling properties since 2003, and opened its flagship branch in Ruddington in 2007. Its ongoing success in our village and further afield has since led to the opening of five other branches across Nottinghamshire. The brand new, and rather more plush, Ruddington premises are now open on the corner with Charles Street – occupying part of the previous D&M Windows showroom, at 20 High Street.

Associate Director, Denise Selwood, explains: “We decided we wanted to both rebrand Thomas James and have a refurbishment. So, when these premises were offered to us, we decided we would take the refurbishment here. It’s very bright and welcoming, in a prime location, and the amount of people that have looked in our windows over the first few days has been unbelievable!”

The larger offices also mean the village branch can offer more services than before: “We now have a financial advisor joining us here in Ruddington, and we’ve also brought in our letting agent Tassi Lettings from the city centre to let out properties in the Ruddington area” says Denise.

The staff at Thomas James, many of whom live in the village, have certainly become prominent supporters of our community – actively attending local schools, businesses and other organisations with their fundraising events and charitable donations. Pictured above (top photo) is Denise alongside accompanied viewings specialist Jayne McAneaney (second and third from left) flanked by property consultants Beverley Tyler, Lauren Burns and Ryan Parkes (L to R). Original Ruddington staff member Jenny Mascari will also be enjoying the new office when she returns from maternity leave in May.

“There is a lot of property development in this area, Ruddington is expanding, with a lot of families wanting to move here, and we always take care to match our clients to their homes” adds Denise. “The customers are number one in our world and the service we offer is second to none. We will do whatever we can to help them secure the home they’ve decided upon. I sell houses every day, but the general public don’t, so they always have questions – which we’re here to answer. Our emails are always on – and our office is open for long hours – meaning we’re still around when many people finish work so it’s more convenient for them.”

Starting on Monday 13th January 2020, look out for Thomas James’ ‘Property of the Week’ on RUDDINGTON.info – where we’ll be showcasing a different dream home each week for house hunters wishing to move to Ruddington or to relocate within our lovely village.
