Closed Village Pub Set to Reopen

It’s been announced that a famous Ruddington public house which ceased trading during the pandemic will finally be opening again – following a significant makeover.

When it relaunches, The Red Heart on Easthorpe Street will be known as ‘The Heart at Ruddington’, with more contemporary branding as shown above. Its new landlord will be Jack Robson, who’s already well known in village hospitality circles after working for, and then buying out, McArtney’s Catering from sisters Rosie and Nancy McArtney back in October 2015. This business was located behind ‘Bar Six’ on Dutton’s Hill.  When Bar Six closed, Jack took on the lease and relaunched it as ‘Apotheka’ although, sadly, this particular venture only lasted a year.

Now, drawing upon his years of experience in the hospitality industry, Jack’s latest challenge is to breathe new life into a traditional Ruddington pub; with plans to create a great drinking and dining experience for friends and families alike.

He says: “We are thrilled to announce the grand reopening of the all new ‘The Heart at Ruddington’, under new management, with an extensive refurbishment both inside and out that brings a fresh and vibrant atmosphere to the heart of the village. We look forward to welcoming old friends and new faces to The Heart, and we’ll be inviting everyone to experience what we have to offer.”

The opening date will be announced soon via their Facebook page >>HERE<<. The new team plans to host a special celebration, with ‘live’ music and fun for all.
