Ruddington’s Buses as ‘Lockdown’ is Eased

Following the Prime Minister’s latest announcement that people who cannot work from home should now try to go back to their jobs, Ruddington’s main bus provider has issued a statement to clarify the current situation on its services. Ruddington’s main bus operator is reminding passengers that we must travel only for essential journeys until there is a sufficient relaxation of the current government restrictions due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus. Buster’s Short Story Writing Competition

If you’re missing your regular journeys on Ruddington’s Navy 3 or Green 10 buses during the COVID-19 Coronavirus lockdown, Nottingham City Transport’s “Buster” is inviting you to write a bus related tale or poem for possible inclusion in a brand new book. In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, Ruddington’s main transport provider has put off all planned fare increases indefinitely. However its Navy 3 service has now been suspended whilst the frequency of its Green 10 buses to and from our village has been reduced. Nottingham City Transport says ‘unprecedented times’ – when buses should now only be used for ‘essential’ travel – prompted it to postpone the rise in fares which should have taken effect from 29th March 2020.
