NABS Bus Rally and Running Day

This annual event is a “great family day out! More than 20 visiting vehicles with  free trips into the local countryside on preserved vehicles and other Heritage Centre attractions open as usual “ says host Nottingham Area Bus Society (NABS).  This popular NABS Bus Rally and Running Day is open on Sunday 16th July between 10am and 4pm at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre (NTHC). Theres a choice of two walk and talk events to find out the history of our village. Gavin Walker, curator of The Village Museum, will be your guide as you stroll around Ruddington on Bank Holiday Monday, 8th May. FREE Puppet Show for The King’s Coronation

If you like sweets and festive fun involving all the family, then please come along to help make around 400 Christingles! On 22nd December from 11.30am in The Hermitage Centre (located along St Peter’s Church). On Sunday 6th November Ruddington’s famous ‘Fireworks Spectacular’ is taking place at the Nottingham Transport Heritage Centre. {Please note that it is NOT SATURDAY 5TH as has previously been listed on the web.} NTHC’s annual evening display for Guy Fawkes night features a funfair, hot food, sweet stalls and sideshows. Ruddington’s traditional, family funfair continues this weekend. The annual event is on from 2pm on Saturday 25th and on Sunday 26th June. If you’re a Ruddington resident, walking to the funfair is recommended. For visitors not in the village there is some free onsite parking.
