Following the Prime Minister’s latest announcement that people who cannot work from home should now try to go back to their jobs, Ruddington’s main bus provider has issued a statement to clarify the current situation on its services. COVID-19 Crime Figures

During the first full month of Ruddington’s ‘lockdown’ due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus, officers have revealed a slight increase in the level of crime around our village – despite many people being at home throughout April. Statistics published by Rushcliffe Police show the number of reported incidents in Ruddington rose from eleven in March 2020 to thirteen incidents last month – primarily burglaries and vehicle crime. Ruddington’s main bus operator is reminding passengers that we must travel only for essential journeys until there is a sufficient relaxation of the current government restrictions due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus. A Ruddington based drug development company has announced a new collaboration which aims to speed up the process of getting a drug to reduce Coronavirus symptoms into human clinical trials. Ruddington Receives £5,000 of Emergency Funding

Volunteers in Ruddington are celebrating securing a slice of the Nottinghamshire County Council cash which has been allocated to help support communities during the COVID-19 crisis. The first round of County Council funding – so far worth more than £260,000 overall – has just been awarded to 85 groups helping vulnerable Nottinghamshire residents through the Coronavirus pandemic. £5,000 from that pot is coming to our village. ‘The Nottinghamshire £1m Community Fund’ forms part of the Council’s response to provide advice and support for communities during the unprecedented outbreak. Eligible groups can each apply…
