The annual Robin Hood Marathon is taking place this Sunday 29th September which will affect Nottingham City Transport buses crossing the route, including Ruddington’s Green 10 and Green 10C services.
Some disruption will occur between 8.30am and 1.30pm. During all of this period:
- Green 10/10C from Ruddington will follow its normal route to Trent Bridge and then continue along London Road (the Victoria Embankment stop will be closed), and left Canal Street to the Broadmarsh area, where it will resume its normal route to the City Centre.
- Buses towards Ruddington will follow their normal route to Broadmarsh Collin Street then left Canal Street, right London Road to resume their normal route from Trent Bridge.
Between 9.20am and 10.20am only London Road will be closed in both directions and the Green 10/10C will take the following alternative route:
- Buses from Ruddington will follow their normal route to County Hall then right Radcliffe Road, left Lady Bay Bridge, right Meadow Lane, left Manvers Street, left Southwell Road, right Lower Parliament Street, left Hockley, right Cranbrook Street to the Victoria Centre area, where they will resume normal route. Passengers for the Broadmarsh area and Station should remain on the bus.
- Buses towards Ruddington will follow their normal route to Broadmarsh Collin Street then left Canal Street, Fisher Gate, Pennyfoot Street, right Manvers Street to Lady Bay Retail Park, right Meadow Lane, left Lady Bay Bridge, continue Radcliffe Road, right Abbey Road (to the end) where it will turn right Davies Road, right Gordon Road, Central Avenue, Bridgford Road to the Cricket Ground, then left onto Loughborough Road to resume its normal route.
It’s expected services will experience delays and therefore NCT is promising live updates throughout via its Twitter feed.
Meantime it’s worth nothing that the usual Rushcliffe Junior Parkrun in Ruddington’s Country Park has been cancelled this Sunday because of the Robin Hood Marathon. It will resume on October 6th.
