Remembrance Sunday Service 2021

After being cancelled due to the Coronavirus last year, the Remembrance Day commemorations on the Sunday nearest to Armistice Day are returning to Ruddington this year. It’s when the uniformed groups in our village parade from The Green to the War Memorial, led by the Boys’ Brigade Band, for a short service there. Traditionally, the two minutes’ silence at 11am has been followed by a full service inside St Peter’s Church. U3A Meeting with Guest Speaker

U3A is short for The University of the Third Age – set up for retired and semi-retired people to share learning, fun and friendship by suggesting and arranging locally based interest groups. The Ruddington & District Branch was formed in 2018. Ruddington Business Partnership is a FREE networking event for local business and trades people. Having organised 18 months’ of ‘virtual’ networking during the pandemic, Rushcliffe Business Partnership & Shamshad Walker are inviting you to join them ‘face-to-face’ againfrom 10am to 11am at The Ruddington Arms. Paused early last year due to theCoronavirus pandemic, with restrictions now lifted the popular weekly coffee morning is back TODAY in St Peter’s Rooms. It’s all thanks to new organisers Gwen Eyre & Carol Jaggers. Everyone aged over 55 in Ruddington is invited to go along – for coffee, biscuits and conversation between 10am and midday. Rushcliffe 5k Parkrun

Rushcliffe Parkrun is a weekly 5km run – you against the clock – every Saturday at 9:00am. It returned in July 2021 after an absence of sixteen months due to the Coronavirus pandemic. ‘Parkrun’ is now operating nationally under a ten point COVID protocol which includes social distancing. This is an annual, traditional, family event,dating back over one hundred years, when the St Peter’s Feast was the start of the school holidays in the village, around the 29th of June. April Village Market

Ruddington Village Marketreturns this April after a three month break during the latest national Coronavirus ‘lockdown’. Although organisers from the award-winning Ruddington Village Centre Partnership (RVCP)could have continued with ‘essential’ traders only throughout this period, it was paused again as a safety precaution in February and March because of the large number of visitors it usually attracts.
