…but it’s only temporary!
Restrictions are to be put into place from 8am this Sunday, September the 3rd until 5pm on Sunday, the 17th of September, to allow work to be carried out on the High Street side of Ruddington Fish Bar (their former pizza takeaway entrance) to re-render the walls.
The scaffolding means that no parking, waiting, loading or unloading will be allowed from the northern boundary of number 8 Wilford Road (Dutton’s Hill) in a southerly direction to the northern boundary of number 8 High Street during this two week period (see map).
Only last month there was a week of traffic chaos at the junction with Church Street and Easthorpe Street when the Red Lion was repainted. There is no advance notice that temporary traffic lights are planned this time. If not, the restrictions might even IMPROVE traffic flow – but we’ll keep you posted!
Since Demetrios Lawton and his family took over the chip shop three years ago they’ve done much work to modernise the interior of the popular takeaway. “Soon I hope the outside will look as good as the inside!” he says.
