St Peter’s ‘Virtual’ Carol Service

As the Coronavirus pandemic continues – with the Christmas relaxation of ‘rules’ now reduced to just one day – it’s been decided that the usual Carol Service from St Peter’s Church will be online-only this year.
Vicar Rev’d Andrew Buchanan says: “Hearing the Christmas story afresh and singing almost every Carol we can think of, all washed down with a glass of Sue Rivington’s infamous mulled wineis, one of the highlights of the Christmas season for me. However, as we can’t actually sing in church at the moment, I thought this year it would be wonderful to do something new. So, this year our Carol Service is pre-recorded, so that we can all sing our favourite carols at home. Our local traders are reading the Christmas story and I’m giving the talk from the top of a bright red London bus!”
