Street Food Summer Social 2024
This biennial ‘summer party’ style food and drink event is taking place in our village on Saturday 20th July from midday until 9pm.
It’s been put together by the ‘monthly market’ team from Ruddington Village Community Partnership (RVCP) and will see food stalls, beer, gin, music and entertainment centred on Ruddington Village Green.
Organisers say: “Dig out your shades, bring your mates, pull up a deckchair, and join us for a get-together in the sunshine this July… because, why not?! We’ve lined up some ace street foodies, we’ll be cracking open a few kegs, got some cool DJs spinning the summertime tunes, and we’ve even got stuff for the kidsters to do as well…”
On the street food lineup:
Secret Burger Club • El Capo’s Pizza • Syiok Lah • Scrumptious Stacks • The Ruddy Clucker • Theo’s Kitchen • District Coffee & Pretzels • Yello Yard • Carolina’s Chilli • Nocona Gelato
Cheeky drinks:
Ruddy Fine Gin Bar • Market Bar
The tunes:
Loose Joints DJs • Thomas the Dance Engine • Man About The House
The kids:
Vintage side stalls & rides • Inflatable Helter Skelter (pictured below)
RVCP adds: “Ditch the car and enjoy that street food with a few beers. The number 10 stops right at the venue, and keeps going all through the day and into the night. Show us your bus ticket, and we might even bung you a £20 voucher, if you’re lucky!”
If you absolutely must travel by car (not recommended!) you can park up at Rushcliffe Country Park (postcode NG11 6JS), where there’s plenty of street parking on the Mere Way Business Park.
Please note that the car park at the Country Park closes at 6pm so, if you’re planning on sticking around through till 9pm, stick to Mere Way street parking – then it’s just a short, 10 minute walk along Elms Park to the Street Food Summer Social. (There’s no shuttle bus this time.)
Admission to the event is FREE, and everyone’s welcome!
