Ruddington Village ‘Virtual’ November Market

Now into its second year,Ruddington Village Marketusually takes place on the first Saturday morning of each month. It’s aninitiative run by volunteers from the award-winning Ruddington Village Centre Partnership- a not for profit community group of residents, businesses, churches and councillors
After being suspended on safety grounds between April and June 2020, due to COVID-19, the popular open market resumed in July at its new, more ‘socially distanced’ location on The Green – where it has continued to be a great success.
Unfortunately, however, with a new ‘lockdown’ coming into force from November 5th until December 2nd, organisers have decided to cancel this month’s event in the interests of public health and safetyfollowing the recent increase in Coronavirus infections.
November’s Ruddington Village Market has also fallen victim to the second ‘lockdown’
Organiser Sue Matthews tells us: “The decision has again been hard to make, but we believe this is in the best interest of our traders, visitors, volunteers and local residents. A decision regarding the December market will be taken in due course. We have notified our traders and asked them to post to our Facebook page to promote any delivery or online options so our residents can still access their products.”
