FREE Introduction to Mindfulness Session

This is a FREE mindfulness taster session for a full online course beginning on Tuesday September 22nd at the same time. If, after giving it a try, you then wish to sign up, these 8 weekly sessions will be orientated towards improving overall health and well-being for adults.
It’s being run by Ruddington resident Jakki Pritchard, who is alisted mindfulness teacher with The UK Mindfulness Network / BAMBA. She says: “During this time of uncertainty & change mindfulness skills can help us stay grounded and keep a cool head amidst all the difficulties and challenges. This powerful mental training tool can help to free us from the grip of excessive worry, rumination and anxiety.”
Her course is aimed at:-

Anyone with an interest in exploring meditation and wanting to gain an awareness of the patterns of their own mind
Anyone who is curious about how we can use mindfulness and meditation skills within daily life to manage stress, anxiety or mood
Anyone who wishes to cultivate skills towards thriving in your health and fitness, hobbies, home, work and family life.

Jakki says the course is also right for those who wish to find greater contentment, self-compassion happiness & appreciation.No previous experience of mindfulness or meditation is required. The course is aimed at complete beginners to offer a clear and enlightening introduction to mindfulness. For those with experience, this course provides a refresher and an opportunity to deepen practice.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to ongoing COVID-19 restrictions making the usual group sessions at Ruddington’s Framework Knitters Museum impractical at the moment, this taster session and the 8 week course which follows it will be held online via Zoom.
